Little Tractors Farm is a living, organic farm where children learn by doing. Our guided visits turn a day out into real, hands-on learning — food, animals, nature and sustainability — perfect for preschools, schools and clubs, always led by our farmers and tailored to your group's age.
Where does food really come from? Children trace the whole journey — planting and harvesting in the gardens, then cooking their own lunch from what they've picked. Paddock to plate, in a single day.
Animal biology and care, hands-on. Under a farmer's guidance, children meet, feed and learn about the rabbits, ducks, cows, poultry and more — how they're looked after, and the part each one plays on the farm.
Our farm sits in one of the last pockets of rich wildlife just 16 km from Colombo. On the wild trail, children spot birds, butterflies and wild visitors — and learn how a living ecosystem all fits together.
Chemical-free farming, in action. Children see how cow dung and compost feed the soil, how water and waste are managed, and how a small farm can work in step with nature — the way food was always meant to be grown.
